Itinerary

 

Day 1: Q.A.I Airport – Amman

(Total Distance: 35 KM / Duration: 45 minutes) (Meals: Dinner)

Arrive at Queen Alia Int'l airport. VIP Meet & Greet at jet-way bridge. Escort to Fast Track  Immigration with porter service. Drop off to hotel/residence in Amman in a limo car.

Day 2: Amman City Tour – Jarash

(Total Distance: 120 KM / Duration: 6 – 7 hours ) (Meals: Breakfast, Dinner)

After breakfast, tour the city of Amman starting with the downtown area, the oldest part of Amman, which is crowned by the Citadel, which offers a panoramic view of the whole city. Here one can also see the ancient ruins of the Temple of Hercules that dates back to (AD 161 – 180), the Byzantine Church, and the fascinating Archaeological Museum which houses an excellent collection of the antiquities of Jordan. At the foot of the Citadel is the 2nd century AD Roman Theater, still used today for cultural events. 

Transfer to Jarash, the best-preserved Roman city of the Decapolis. Entering the city through the monumental South Gate, one comes upon the lovely Oval Plaza, the Temple of Zeus, and the South Theater, which seats more than 3,000 spectators. Walking through the Colonnaded Street, one can see the Market Place, the Omayyad residential quarter, a 4th century AD cathedral, St. Theodore’s Church, the Nymphaeum, and the North Theater. Return back to Amman.

Day 3: Amman - Mount Nebo - Madaba - Shobak – Petra

(Total Distance: 285 KM / Duration: 8 – 9 hours) (Meals: Breakfast, Dinner)

After breakfast, drive to Mount Nebo, which dates back to the time of the Prophet Moses, around the 12th century BC. It is believed to be the site of the Prophet’s burial place and the point from where he viewed the “Promised Land”. Visit the remains of the mosaic floors with stunning designs that feature hunting and pastoral scenes, found in the small church, built by the early Christians in the 4th century AD.

Continue to Madaba, home of the most famous Byzantine mosaics. Visit the greatest and most significant of all the city’s treasures, the wonderful mosaic map of ancient Palestine, which is located on the floor of the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George. Drive to Shobak castle that was originally called Krak de Montreal or Mons Regalis. Built in 1115, it was the first of many fortifications built beyond the Jordan by King Baldwin I of Jerusalem to guard the road from Egypt to Damascus. Drive to Petra.

Day 4: Petra visit (By Club Car) – Wadi Rum

(Total Distnace: 115 KM / Duration: 6 -7 hours  ) (Meals: Breakfast, Dinner)

After breakfast, visit the Red Rose city of Petra, which was carved out of the solid Rock before about 2000 years ago by the Arab Nabateans. Start the tour by club car from the main gate till the Treasury and pass by the fascinating narrow gorge (the Siq), which is about one kilometer long and eighty meters high. Once of a sudden you will be facing Petra’s most famous monument the Treasury (el-Khazneh). Free time to explore the site. Drive to Wadi Rum, one of the world’s most colorful and unique landscapes of desert and mountain scenery.

Day 5: Wadi Rum – Hot Air Balloon - Jeep Tour – Ma’in Hot Springs   

(Total Distance: 420 KM / Duration: 8 hours  ) (Meals: Breakfast, Dinner)

At sunrise, take a bird's eye view of the beautiful scenery of the majestic mountains in Wadi Rum by climbing into a Hot Air Balloon.

Back to camp for breakfast and then tour through Wadi Rum colored sands by Bedouin four-wheel drive vehicles for two hours.

 

Drive to Ma’in Hot Springs that are located 264m below sea level where you will find one of the most breathtaking desert oases in the world. Thousands of visiting bathers come each year to enjoy the mineral-rich waters of these hyper-thermal waterfalls. These falls originate from winter rainfalls in the highland plains of Jordan and eventually feed the 109 hot and cold springs in the valley. This water is heated to temperatures of up to 63° Celsius by underground lava fissures as it makes its way through the valley before emptying into the Zarqa River.

Day 6: Ma’in Hot Springs – Free Morning – Dead Sea    

(Total Distance: 25 KM / Duration: 30 minutes) (Meals: Breakfast, Dinner)

After breakfast, enjoy your free morning till 12:00 PM. Drive to the Dead Sea (the lowest point on the earth) to enjoy swimming and floating on its salty water.

Day 7: Dead Sea – Q.A.I airport for departure

(Total Distance: 60 KM / Duration: 1 hour) (Meals: Breakfast)

 After breakfast, transfer to Queen Alia Int'l airport for departure. VIP Meet & Greet: upon arrival at the airport, porter service: to check-in counter Fast-track: through Immigration and Security Access to Crown Lounge Escort to Duty Free Buggy car transfer to the Boarding Gate.
